Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Sludge Thickening Building Improvements

Project Summary and Scope

This project consists of the renovation of the WWTP Sludge Thickening Equipment and Facilities.  The existing sludge thickening centrifuges and ancillary pump and other equipment are at the end of their useful life and require replacement.

Complete Biosolids options scoping study 2nd Qtr 2017.
Begin design of improvements 2nd Qtr 2017.

Project Funding

DPU Wastewater Utility Enterprise Funds in the amount of $10,126,000.  Funds for this project were appropriated prior to Fiscal Year 2018-2019.  

Project Status Updates

Project scoping study is completed.  Design work for replacement of thickening centrifuges began February 2017. Currently at the Final Design and Permit Review Phase.
