Project Summary and Scope
This project is a requirement of the CSO Special Order by Consent between the City of Richmond and the Virginia State Water Control Board. The Project is one of two remaining separation projects in the CSO 028 Sewer Shed. This project includes the installation of some separate stormwater collection pipe, sanitary sewer collection pipe, sewer and storm structures, and the deactivation of the downstream sewer regulator. This separation project will reduce the amount of combined sewer overflows in this area of the City thereby improving the water quality of the James River.

Total project budget is $6,956,000.
Project Status Updates
Corman Construction, Inc. has been awarded the contract. The construction contract is fully executed.
The Pre-Construction Meeting was held on April 26, 2017. Notice to Proceed was given on May 1, 2017 with a Contract Completion date of September 18, 2018. Work Commenced on August 14, 2017.
The contractor will have sections of Williamsburg Ave closed to thru traffic from Hatcher Street to Malone St. Detours are in place from 9:00am - 4:00pm while construction is taking place.
Several Manholes and lengths of Storm pipe have been installed from Hatcher St to Union St.
