Forest Hill Ave. improvements from Powhite Parkway to Hathaway Road.


The project scope is to improve safety, accessibility, drainage, multimodal transportation and aesthetics through the corridor.

Installation of a 12' raised median (with median trees and other landscaping)

4 - 11' wide travel lanes

Curbing (both sides)

Storm sewer (underground)

4' planting strip (with street trees)

4' sidewalks (both sides)

5' bike lanes (both sides)

Pavement markings

Traffic Signal at Melbourne Drive synchronized with Hathaway Road (to ease the left turn from Melbourne Drive).
